At Leybaert, we continuously look for ways to use energy more efficiently and responsibly. Thanks to the installation of two 233 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate batteries by Linea Trovata, we can now store our self-generated solar power and use it whenever we need it.
For several years, our solar panels have been supplying a large part of our energy needs. With this new battery system, we can now store surplus solar energy during peak production and use it later, when consumption is higher or the sun isn’t shining. This allows us to make optimal use of our own renewable energy and further reduce our dependency on the grid.
The batteries are fully integrated into our Energy Management System (EMS), which continuously monitors energy production, consumption and market data. The EMS enables smart control and optimisation – from charging and discharging the batteries, to load balancing, peak shaving and maximising self-consumption.
