We are proud to share that Leybaert has been nominated for the Dutch Flower Awards 2025. During the RFH Trade Fair in Aalsmeer, the Dutch Flower Group (DFG) annually honours outstanding growers and suppliers with these prestigious awards. This year’s theme — “IMPACT: Building sustainable impact together” — perfectly reflects our own ambitions in sustainability and collaboration.
Nominated for the Dutch Flower Awards 2025
Recognition for sustainable partnership
For 22 years, DFG has presented the Dutch Flower Awards to highlight the importance of long-term, sustainable relationships within the supply chain and to express appreciation for partnership with growers and suppliers. For 2025, Leybaert has been nominated in the category ‘Foreign Supplier’. The nomination was put forward by Dutch Plant Group (Hamiplant, OZ Planten and Waterdrinker) and Van Dijk Flora, both part of DFG, and is supported by the other companies within the group.
Selection and jury
From a total of nine nominees, the jury will select the winners in three categories: Flowers, Plants and Foreign Supplier. The jury consists of the Executive Committee of DFG: Jan van Dam (CEO), Joost Gietelink (CFO), Michel van Hout (CIO) and Marcel Zandvliet (CMO | CSO). The festive award ceremony will take place during the RFH Trade Fair in Aalsmeer on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 at 15:00, at the Dutch Flower Group stand (2.5).
Grateful for the recognition
Tom Leybaert, Managing Director of Leybaert, responded enthusiastically:
“We are truly honoured by this recognition. For us, sustainability is not a buzzword, but a daily practice. Through our investments in energy storage and innovative smart breeding, we are taking concrete steps towards the sustainable nursery of tomorrow. This nomination confirms that, together with our partners, we are making a real impact.”
